This course includes the content and assessment for NZQA unit standards 6402 & 6401 and the Worksafe NZ good practice guide for First Aid in the workplace.

- Caring for Sudden Illness - Stroke, Diabetic Emergencies, Seizures, Breathing Difficulties and Asthma, Severe Allergic Reaction & Chest Pain
Workplace First Aid - Refresher
Update your skills, learn about changes in first aid best practice and keep your qualification current with this refresher course. This course is only for people whose Workplace First Aid certificate is current. If your certificate was issued more than 2 years and 3 months ago, you will need to register for the Full Workplace First Aid course.
Pediatric First Aid
This course is designed for people who have responsibility for infants and children. It is the preferred First Aid programme for many kindergartens, day care and play centres.
It is specific to the everyday needs of people working in these environments and also covers the full Workplace First Aid course, including Unit Standards 6402 and 6401 - essential for workplace safety and covering the material in the Worksafe NZ good practise guide.
The Ministry of Education guidelines also recommend unit 6400 which is available in our Comprehensive First Aid Course.
Comprehensive First Aid
Complete your pre-learning online or using the workbook before the course and be assessed for your Comprehensive First Aid Certificate at the end of the course. This course covers unit standards 6401, 6402 and 6400. Note that students that do not complete the pre-learning before the course can not be assessed for a Comprehensive First Aid Certificate, but can still be assessed for the Workplace First Aid Certificate and units 6401 and 6402.
CPR & AED only
If you are interested in doing the CPR and AED component of this course only please email [email protected]. It may be possible to attend the morning session only and cover just the CPR and AED components of the course with assessment for unit standard 6402.
First Aid only
If you are interested in covering the topics contained in unit standard 6401 - managing first aid for shock and bleeding, select trauma and select medical conditions, please email [email protected]. It may be possible for you to attend the afternoon session only and cover just these components of the course with assessment for unit standard 6401.
